Deine Aufgaben
- Build, maintain, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines to acquire, ingest, and process data from multiple sources into data lakes and enterprise data warehouses.
- Implement monitoring, alerting systems, and testing frameworks to ensure data quality and observability.
- Design and manage cloud data environments, mainly in AWS, focusing on reusability, performance, data quality, and security.
- Plan project-specific data engineering architecture with affiliates and partners, setting quality standards for team solutions.
- Apply DevOps best practices, like CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, to automate deployment, testing, and monitoring of data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Work with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and IT to support data-driven decision-making in strategic processes.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards in collaboration with enterprise data security teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers, encouraging a collaborative environment.
- Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and integrate innovative practices into the division's data initiatives.
Was du mitbringst
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (such as computer science or electrical engineering).
- 5 to 8 years of experience in data engineering within corporate environments.
- Experience in regulated industries like pharmaceuticals is a plus.
- Strong skills in Python and SQL; Java or Scala is a plus.
- Experience with AWS (EMR, Glue, Athena, RDS, Step Functions, S3), Spark, Hadoop, Airflow, dbt, Terraform, Docker, Git, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Proven experience designing enterprise ETL platforms with a focus on observability.
- Ability to guide junior developers and third-party contractors.
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Passion for transforming organizations through large-scale data.
