- Lead software development and modernization projects from start to finish
- Define project scope, milestones, delivery plans, and execution strategies
- Manage risks, dependencies, and cross-system impacts
- Improve software delivery processes and the software development lifecycle
- Ensure high-quality and reliable software delivery
- Keep an overview of system landscapes and integrations
- Work closely with developers, architects, and product stakeholders
- Align architecture with delivery needs across multiple initiatives
- Challenge solutions that increase complexity or technical debt
- Support solution design and architectural decision-making
- Promote scalable, maintainable, and modern engineering practices

- Strong background in software development (former developer or engineer)
- Solid understanding of software architecture, system integration, and distributed systems
- Able to understand codebases and technical trade-offs without coding daily
- Experience working across multiple teams or initiatives
- Experience with modern software development practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD) is a plus
- Background as Technical Lead, Solution Architect, or Engineering Lead is desired
- Experience balancing delivery pressure with long-term technical quality
- Strong analytical and systems thinking mindset
- Comfortable in evolving or ambiguous environments
- Good understanding of backend systems, APIs, and integrations
- Experience with complex systems, modernization, or legacy transformation projects
- Fluent in English and German
