You will join an interdisciplinary research group focused on understanding the pathophysiology of arthritis. Your work helps uncover how inflammation and tissue degeneration happen, with the goal of developing new therapies. You will analyze complex biological data, build and maintain bioinformatics pipelines, and work closely with experimental scientists to turn data into insights.

Deine Aufgaben

  • Lead and support multi-omics data analysis for in vitro, in vivo, and clinical datasets
  • Maintain, improve, and develop reproducible bioinformatics pipelines
  • Integrate computational analyses with experimental and clinical data to find meaningful biological insights
  • Stay updated on new computational methods and apply them to research questions
  • Communicate results clearly within the lab and to the wider scientific community

Was du mitbringst

  • Master’s degree required; PhD preferred in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field
  • Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or PhD with 0+ years of postdoctoral or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in R and Python (MATLAB is a plus)
  • Ability to analyze high-dimensional bioinformatics datasets, including multi-omics data (such as transcriptomics, epigenomics, proteomics, spatial or single-cell data) using existing pipelines
  • Experience improving and developing computational pipelines and workflows
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets
  • Ability to read, interpret, and implement methods from current bioinformatics and computational biology literature
  • Experience using and maintaining GitHub repositories for version control and collaboration
  • Familiar with conda environments, Jupyter notebooks, and R Markdown for reproducible research
  • Background or strong interest in genomics, musculoskeletal biology, inflammation, tissue degeneration, or related biological systems is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present computational methods and biological results to audiences with different levels of expertise
  • Interest in collaborating with experimental biologists, clinicians, and engineers
  • Technical leadership or mentorship experience is a plus
